ABOUT THE ARTIST

A native of southern New Jersey, Kate Cunningham graduated with a degree in art and literature from Boston University. She later relocated to Los Angeles where she worked as a visual artist, singer, songwriter, record producer and teacher of yoga and meditation for many years. After meeting John Harris (1937-2002), an established, multi-media artist and designer whose works had been widely collected by architects, designers, art collectors, corporations and museums, Ms. Cunningham mentored and collaborated with him in the design and production of his furniture. After Mr. Harris' passing in 2002, the demand escalated and Ms. Cunningham continued to manufacture the distinctive tree stump tables and metal clad tables for major clients and exclusive, high-end retailers internationally.
